Born Macaulay Carson Culkin in New York in 1980.
Appeared in several films in the late eighties including "Uncle Buck" with John Candy.
Shot to fame playing Kevin McAllister in the 1990 film "Home Alone", which became one of the highest grossing films of all time.
Went on to become the highest paid child actor of all time, starring in a number of films including "My Girl", "Home Alone 2: Lost In New York", "The Good Son" and "Richie Rich".

 AFTER...
In 1995, his parents separated and started a legal battle over Macaulay and his earnings. Macaulay refused to do any more work in films until his parents sorted this.
Control of Macaulay's finances was taken from his parents and given to his accountant.
Married actress Rachel Miner in 1998, but separated in 2000.
In 2001, appeared in the play "Madame Melville" playing a teenager who is seduced by his French teacher.
Appeared in "Party Monster" in 2003 - 9 years after his last film, "Richie Rich".
In May 2002, Macaulay paid $2,000 on topless dancers and drinks at a club in New York as part of his research for the film "Party Monster".
In 2004 he starred in a movie called "Saved" as a disabled boy called Roland.
In May 2005, Macaulay testified for the defence in the famous Michael Jackson case saying that although he slept in Michael's bed a number of times, he was never sexually molested by him.
